Our Retreat this year, 9th - 11th September was held at Bishop Woodford House, Ely and it was as their leaflet says "Welcome For a Pause .... on Life's Journey".
It was led by Fr.Ed.Dowler who based the Retreat on a book called "Faith and Struggle on Smokey Mountain". 18 members attended and the highlight of the weekend was being able to join in Choral Evensong at Ely Cathedral and Mass there on the Sunday morning.
The date for next year is 21st to 23rd April 2017.
DAY APART 2016
The Day Apart on 25th August was held at Edgware Abbey Community of St.Mary at the Cross and was enjoyed by 25 people from across the Diocese.
Father Stephen Taylor spoke to us about "The Bread of Life".
It was a welcome surprise when Bishop Peter, retired Bishop of Edmonton, arrived and celebrated the Mass, where we were joined by residents from Henry Nihill House - a nursing home attached to The Abbey.
