Spelthorne Deanery Quiet Evening Wednesday 31st July 2019Fi Yates - 08 Aug 2019
I would like to share with you the Quiet Evening I recently attended with my Mum. It was arranged by the ladies from our St Hilda's Ashford branch. The service was led by Fr Joseph Fernandes.
This was my first Quiet Evening which I have been able to go to and found it to be a reminder of just how busy our lives are and how important it is to take time out and be still. The service lasted about 40 minutes and included, prayer, reflection, periods of silence and song. I have included a copy of the service for you to see. There was an icon on the alter which I was drawn to in our periods of silence. The noise outside the church just blurred away in to the background. I felt relaxed and calm after the service. Thank you for this still moment.

The icon was commissioned by Fr Jospeh and has given permission for me to share this with you.
Members from St Matthews Ashford, St Nicholas Shepperton, St Mary's Sunbury and St Hilda's attended.
