St Matthew, Ashford (Kensington Area)

05 Jan 2017

St. Matthew , Ashford (Kensington Area) untilised the prayer tags from the resources provided for the 16 Days of Activism Programme; they had discussed FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) at a previous branch meeting.  They ran with a modified theme of Prayer against Gender Based Violence for their tree in the Church Christmas tree festival. All members wrote prayers and put them on the tree, which was decorated in MU colours, and invited visitors to add their own prayers which a lot of them did.

The photograph shows their tree and Branch Leader Judith Grainger and new member Patsy Holmes, who was enrolled into the branch by Judith and Father Stuart on Advent Sunday at the Family Mass.
